Thank you for visiting my campaign website as Assemblyman for Nevada State Assembly District 8! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was launching a campaign to run for the Assembly as a first time candidate and here I am looking at running again for Assemblyman! I thank you all for your support and trust in me, and hope to continue fighting the good fight for more terms to come.
In 2011, I was able to pass Nevada's Foster Child Bill of Rights, providing clear protection and support for our foster children. I helped protect tenants from faulty evictions by strengthening the penalties for those who do not follow the rules. I was able to tighten the rules for process servers so citizens were not victimized with default judgments when they were never properly notified to appear in court. I helped clarify the need to protect Nevada's Victims Compensation Fund and make sure those funds were not removed at the end of each year. Lastly, I championed legislation to protect our youth from the dangers of overlooked head injuries by adopting standards to make sure young athletes see a healthcare professional before returning to the game.
